ASE Housing LLC is an emerging supportive shared transitional housing organization being developed primarily for self-sufficient male adults living with mental health conditions who are capable of independent living but need safe, stable housing and may benefit from practical day-to-day support.
Our housing model is built around a simple idea:
Adults can need support without losing their independence.
ASE Housing is currently in the development and community-partnership phase as we prepare to open our first residence in Southern California.
Our Story
ASE Housing Story
ASE Housing was founded by Brandy LaNae Roberson and Diane Brown with a shared vision of creating comfortable, structured homes for adults who may face housing challenges but remain capable of living independently.
We recognized a need for housing that falls between complete isolation and highly supervised residential care.
Some adults don't need someone managing every aspect of their lives.They may simply need a safe home, affordable shared living, consistency, community, transportation coordination, assistance navigating everyday needs, and connection to resources.
Our Mission
Our mission is to develop safe, structured, respectful, and supportive shared-living environments for self-sufficient adults living with mental health conditions.
We aim to provide stable housing while encouraging residents to maintain their independence, dignity, personal routines, community connections, and relationships with their existing behavioral health and supportive-service providers.
Located in Southern California, our facility fosters a community-oriented environment, collaborating with local outreach programs and government organizations to create a network of support for our residents.

We envision ASE Housing becoming a dependable housing resource for behavioral health organizations, case managers, social workers, community programs, families, and other professionals seeking appropriate housing options for adults capable of independent community living.

Compassionate Support
Our residences are being designed to look and feel like homes.ASE Housing plans to offer a shared-living model, including furnished shared bedrooms and shared household spaces such as kitchens, living rooms, dining areas, bathrooms, and other common areas.
A Home Not an Institution
Residents will live independently within the household while following community standards designed to protect the safety, comfort, and dignity of everyone who calls the residence home.
Supporting Independence in Shared Housing
Independent Living with Personal Choice
Residents may share their home and bedroom space, but they remain individuals with their own routines, goals, appointments, relationships, and personal choices.
Our purpose is not to control residents' lives but to provide the housing foundation and practical support that can make independent living more sustainable.
ASE Housing's planned model recognizes that being independent doesn't mean a person will never need assistance.
Depending on the residence, resident needs, and available resources, everyday support may include:
Transportation Coordination
Suporting residents to identify or coordinate transportation for essential appointments, errands, and community activities.
Grocery & Essential Shopping Support
Helping coordinate routine grocery and household shopping needs.
Appointment Support
Providing reminders or practical coordination to help residents stay connected with important appointments.
Community Resource Connections
Assisting residents to identify appropriate community programs and outside resources.
Everyday Living Guidance
Providing reasonable guidance with routine household and community living needs while encouraging residents to remain self-sufficient.
ASE Housing does not intend to replace a resident's psychiatrist, therapist, physician, case manager, or other qualified professional.
Community Living Standards
Safety and Respect Come First
Because ASE Housing will operate as a shared-living environment, clear household expectations will be an important part of protecting residents and maintaining a peaceful home.
Our planned community standards include expectations regarding:

No alcohol within the residence

No smoking within the residence

No firearms or prohibited weapons

No violence, threats, intimidation, or fighting

Respect for residents, staff, visitors, and neighbors

Respect for personal belongings and shared spaces

Cleanliness and household responsibilities

Compliance with visitor and guest policies

Quiet hours and consideration for housemates

Men-only transitional shared housing
A 10:00 p.m. return-to-residence expectation, subject to established exceptions and individual circumstances
Serious or repeated violations of community standards may result in consequences under the resident agreement and applicable policies and law.
Complete community-living guidelines will be provided to prospective residents before they agree to placement so expectations are understood from the beginning.

ASE Housing LLC is developing a supportive shared-living residence for self-sufficient adults living with mental health conditions who are capable of independent community living and may benefit from safe, stable housing and practical support.
As we prepare to open, we are building relationships with mental health organizations, case managers, social workers, hospitals, community programs, veteran-serving organizations, and other professionals who support individuals seeking stable housing.
ASE Housing is not currently accepting resident placements, but we welcome connections with future referral and community partners.
